I don’t really get caught up in what pressure is all about…play as hard as you can and live with the results
– LeBron James
This quote makes me think about all the complaining about pressure I was doing the other day. Thank you LeBron I needed to hear that.
I have a lot of respect for LeBron James. I don’t know him personally as of yet but from the image he keeps up he is a great role model for young men. He is God fearing, he’s married, he’s a great father a great businessman and athlete just a great person. I love to listen to his interviews because he is always so humble without being careful about what he says. I glad my little cousin’s look up to him because they feel like that is what a man should be doing – taking care of his family.
With that said:
Looks like the Spurs are brining the Heat.
I hate to even make this post at this time because I don’t want to seem like I am jumping on any band wagon but it’s on my mind so I’m going to say it. I’ve never really been a basketball fan. Not until about two years ago when my aunt Sonia got engaged and I stated dating my fiancé we would always hang out together and the guys would watch the games. Throughout the season I would hear what was going on I wouldn’t watch the games because I’m not a pre-season girl but I would listen so I knew what was going on. By the end of the season I would have to pick a side because one thing I do watch and love is any national championship. I love to watch the best play. Like I live for the Super Bowl…(exhale).
Basically for the last few years in the basketball Championships I’ve had to pick between the Heat and the Spurs. Pop and my aunt are Heat fans and Terry (my aunts husband) is a Spurs fan. Because I like to go for the underdog and Terry was on a side on his own I figured I’d even the playing field and cheer for the Spurs, so that’s how that happened. Today I am feeling proud that I did! I’m not just saying that because they are up three to one but if you’ve been watching the games you’ve seen that the Spurs have been playing like a well-oiled machine. They are working together, they are make every shot, they are moving players around, they are focused and doing a great job as a team.
Don’t get me wrong, I always say, it isn’t over until it’s over. I believe the Heat has what it takes to make history and come back to win it all, just not if they play like they’ve played the last two games, honestly they just look tired. Well, I guess we will all just have to wait and see but either way it’s exciting.
Either way it goes I’m shouting Go Spurs.
