It’s starting! And I am so excited to be here. For so long I have been planning this 200 University Tour for Wide Open. And let me tell you that this has been an unbelievable process. But we are closer now then we have ever been before.
It all started with The Things Inside Me. When I completed the book I had a plan to promote it by doing a play that incorporated poetry from the book. That is how Wide Open was born. But my vision kept growing and growing and after Wide Open went up and I saw how people responded to the message I knew that this story was bigger than me and I had to get it out there to as many people as possible because it could heal someone (hence the 200 university tour). From there God gave me another vision and this time it blew me away – it was to write a novel that explained the story of Wide Open in detail and do a documentary that explained how I got to this point in the first place. That is how Outside Myself came about.
The Things Inside Me, Wide Open, Me & My Man’s Wife (novel coming soon) and Outside Myself are all connected. And watching these visions come to life is an incredible experience. Having the release of Outside Myself in South Carolina is also symbolic because South Carolina is where my roots are. My mother was born there and her parents and there parents and so on and so forth. To be there for this release of a DVD that is a documentary of my experiences is priceless.
But the best part is team Wide Open will be performing a preview of the “Wide Open: A One Woman Show”, before the viewing of the DVD. So, Wide Open will officially be in a new state for the first time and I am so happy it is South Carolina! To all my friends and family I can’t wait to bring this show to you, I know that you are going to love it!!
