The Sea
How deep do you think I go
The truth is nobody knows
I flow as deep as the sea
My waves, give me sanity
I flow up and down all the time
You never know my secrets
You never can see through this
I’m just that deep
I try to let some in
Let them swim in my sea
But like any body of water
You can only go so deep
Then you must come back up to catch your breath
What you find might shock you
And if you take too much in you may die
But the discoveries are certainly worth the surprise
I am like the sea
Not shallow like a stream
I can rest easy
Or hurricane when I’m made
Rain when I’m sad
Or just flow when I’m mellow
I am like the sea
Never fully explored
But always adored
Keeping people in suspense
And wanting to know more
My world is my sea
And all my endless mysteries
